ThingBoard
Made for families

Your family's schedule, groceries, and to-dos on one bright board.

ThingBoard puts your family's week, grocery list, to-dos, notes, and kids' lunches on one bright full-screen board. Free to use, with Google sync and an AI assistant in ThingBoard Plus.

Everything on the board

One screen the whole house reads from, updating live on every device as people add and check things off.

The whole week, at a glance

A rolling seven-day view with a live "now" line that keeps itself scrolled to the current moment. Create events right in ThingBoard, including repeating ones, or pull them in from the Google Calendars you choose. Duplicate invites are merged into one card with everyone's photo on it.

One grocery list for everyone

Autocomplete from a catalog of common items organised by aisle, then sort or filter by section, assignee, or how fragile something is. Add a note to any item, assign it to a person, and check it off from the tablet or your phone.

To-dos you can actually assign

Give a chore to a specific person and their photo shows up on the item. Add due dates and times, notes, and chores that reset themselves nightly or every week. Google Tasks can flow in alongside them.

Reminders that reach you

Any to-do with a due date can notify a day before, an hour before, or right on time — each toggle set per item, in your own time zone.

Chores that come back around

Set a to-do to reset once at a specific date and time, or on a chosen day each week. A small badge tells you exactly when it returns.

Notes with an expiry date

Pin "soccer kit in the car" or "babysitter at 6" to the board with a label, a description, and a time it disappears on its own.

Children with their own colour

Admins add each child with a name, nickname, photo, birthday, and favourite colour, and that colour follows them across the board.

Lunch menu picking

Kids choose a main, side, dessert, and drink up to a week ahead, within the limits an admin sets. Picks show up on the right day in the calendar.

Double-tap sparkles

Double-tap any event, item, or note to give it a sparkling glow the whole family sees — handy for "this one matters today".

Families, not accounts

Everything is shared with your family. Belong to more than one and switch between them in settings. Administrators invite people with a code, manage members, children, and the lunch menu.

Lock mode for the wall tablet

An admin sets a 4–10 digit PIN. Locked, the board is read-only, so a curious toddler can't clear the grocery list. Unlock on a big number pad.

Make it yours

Eight themes — Midnight, Bulletin board, Seasonal, Terminal, Quiet, Modern, Lasso, Cupertino — chosen per person, plus three text sizes and three board layouts with calendar on top, left, or right.

Built for the tablet on your kitchen wall

Big type, big buttons, and a full-screen layout you can read from across the room. Pick the arrangement you like — calendar on top, on the left, or on the right — tap a card to blow it up on its own, and the screen stays awake while it's up.

On a phone, it becomes a simple tabbed app so you can add a grocery item from the store and check off a chore on the way home.

The board itself is free forever. Plus adds the connections to the outside world — and it's billed once per family, not per person, with the first month free. A card is collected up front and you can cancel any time before the trial ends.
