Terms of Service
Last updated August 20, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and ThingBoard. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use ThingBoard.
Using ThingBoard
ThingBoard is a shared board for household schedules, grocery lists, and to-dos. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and you are responsible for the activity that happens under it. Keep your Google sign-in secure, and keep your family lock code private.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you add — family names, list items, notes, due dates, and assignments. You grant us permission to store, process, and display that content for the purpose of running the app for you and the family members you invite. Anything you add to a family board is visible to every member of that family.
Acceptable use
- Do not use ThingBoard for anything unlawful, abusive, or harmful.
- Do not attempt to access families, accounts, or data that are not yours.
- Do not probe, scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the service.
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.
Connected Google services
If you connect Google Calendar or Google Tasks, you authorise ThingBoard to read the calendars and lists you select so they can be shown on your board. Those services are provided by Google under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or accuracy. You can disconnect at any time from the calendar settings.
Service availability and changes
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. ThingBoard is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. It is a convenience tool — do not rely on it as the sole record for anything critical such as medical, legal, or safety reminders.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThingBoard and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any lost data, missed events, or missed reminders arising from your use of the service.
Termination
You may stop using ThingBoard and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that put the service or other users at risk.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it, and forms part of these terms.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the app evolves; material changes will be announced in the app, and continued use means you accept the updated terms. Questions? Contact privacy@thingboard.app.
